FamILY FUN!

For Family Day we ventured out on the bus to visit the Seaforth Armoury. They were hosting an accessible family day event in connection with the Invictus Games 2025. It was amazing to learn about all the events they will have and we were even able to try some out. Together we were able to play a wheelchair basketball. The kids were able to gain more respect for their Father as they learned how to navigate the chair. The kids and Julio also had a game of sitting volleyball. Julio tried Curling, which we learnt is way harder sitting down then one would think. Today wasn’t a Family Day to be together, but an opportunity to experience what it is like to be in a wheelchair. We are very grateful for the opportunity and appreciate the inclusive event.
