MOVIE DATE

We love having the Skytrain close to the hospital, as it means we can help Julio get around with limited issues. On the weekends we try to plan outings with the kids. Walks, treats at Fratelli bakery, picnics in the park, always some sort of adventure.

This time we decided to do a family movie date! Julio wasn’t impressed that the wheelchair seating was in the second row. However, he was grateful to be able to get out of the hospital and spend time with his family. The movie was great, action-packed and for those couple hours, we were able to escape our reality.

All was good until we went to leave. For some reason one of the theatre doors was locked and we couldn’t get him out. People tried to help to no avail. We had to get the manager to help us unlock the door. Julio was mortified as he held up the rest of the theatre as he was blocking everyone from getting out. Anyone who truly knows Julio, knows he does not like to be the center of attention or inconvenience anyone. It was a little setback in our adventure, but we didn’t let it ruin our time. It was a great date overall, and memories with the fam. <3
